Job Title: Pipefitter (Per Diem)

Job Description

As a Pipefitter, you will install, assemble, fabricate, maintain, and repair piping systems made of stainless steel and carbon steel. You will read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and specifications to determine layout and specifications. Your role involves threading and hammering pipe to specifications using tools such as saws, cutting torches, and pipe threaders. You will inspect work for conformance to specifications and ensure compliance with safety standards. Additionally, you will collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other trades to ensure timely and accurate project completion.

Responsibilities

+ Install, assemble, fabricate, maintain, and repair piping systems made of stainless steel and carbon steel.

+ Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and specifications.

+ Determine layout, thread, and hammer pipe to specifications using tools such as saws, cutting torches, and pipe threaders.

+ Inspect work for conformance to specifications and ensure compliance with safety standards.

+ Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other trades to ensure timely and accurate project completion.

Essential Skills

+ Minimum 5 years of experience working with stainless steel and carbon steel piping systems.

+ Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.

+ Strong understanding of pipefitting tools, equipment, and safety procedures.

+ Experience with pipe welding.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Pipe welding experience is a plus.

+ OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is preferred.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Summerville, SC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.
