Job Title:** **General Production Worker
**Schedule:** Monday–Friday, 6 AM – 2 PM
Pay:** Competitive hourly rate **with weekly pay
About the Role
Join our team in the **Pet Department** , where you’ll work with raw and cooked meat daily, focusing on grinding, dicing, and production tasks. This is a **flex position** , meaning you’ll support the Pet platform and learn operations across multiple business units—building a broad skill set for future growth.
Responsibilities
+ Safely operate equipment, understand food safety requirements, and perform risk assessments.
+ Operate mixing and grinding equipment, including setup following COHE procedures and using hand tools and instructions.
+ Conduct basic analytical quality tests (e.g., moisture content using NIR and temperature readings with a thermometer).
+ Demonstrate agility and flexibility to support multiple teams as work needs shift.
+ Perform equipment sanitation and basic setup activities.
+ Apply technical skills related to product, process, and packaging.
+ Consistently lift, manipulate, and transport ingredients or equipment up to 55 lbs.
Essential Skills
+ Production, food production, weighing, general production, packaging, machine operation, GMP, heavy lifting, R&D, food processing.
Additional Qualifications:
+ Basic production experience, preferably in food production.
+ Knowledge of food science, food quality, and GMPs.
+ Ability to work and communicate with diverse teams.
+ Strong background in analytical instrumentation and data analysis.
+ Ability to coordinate multiple tasks effectively.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills; proficiency with Word and Excel.
+ Positive attitude, flexibility, and adaptability.
+ Strong judgment and problem-solving ability.

Work Environment
+ Monday–Friday, 6 AM – 2 PM.
+ Initial assignment expected to last ~6 months, with possible extension to 12 months while applying for internal roles.
+ 100% production and research-based environment with strong SOPs.
+ Ideal for learning quality testing skills and exploring research production opportunities.
+ Potential exposure to common allergens (milk, eggs, fish, shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat, soybeans, sesame).

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rosemount, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr.
