Job Title: Machine Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a **Machine Operator** to join our manufacturing team. This role is critical to ensuring smooth production operations, equipment efficiency, and adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, experience with packaging and press machines, and the ability to perform changeovers and equipment resets.

Key Responsibilities

Operate packaging, cutter, and press machines with precision and efficiency.

Perform changeovers and reset equipment as needed, assisting maintenance technicians with assembly/disassembly tasks.

Follow GMP guidelines to ensure compliance with manufacturing standards.

Monitor equipment and production throughout batch processes, reporting issues promptly.

Notify warehouse/supervisor of missing raw materials to avoid production delays.

Package approved batches and label finished product containers accurately.

Stock supplies and label raw materials when required.

Perform routine maintenance and ensure equipment is in proper working condition.

Clean, sanitize, and inspect tools/equipment including pumps, tanks, pipelines, and more.

Complete end-of-day procedures such as restocking, housekeeping, and waste documentation.

Maintain a clean and safe work area while adhering to safety regulations and chemical handling protocols.

Train new operators and support team development.

Observe safety rules including lock-out/tag-out procedures.

Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Required Skills

Machine operation in a manufacturing environment

Changeovers and equipment setup

Mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting and reassembly

Attention to detail in labeling, packaging, and documentation

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in GMP-regulated manufacturing in high-speed packaging, filling, capping, labeling, cutting, or pressing operations.

Strong safety awareness and adherence to lock-out/tag-out procedures.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of MEMPHIS, TN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
