Job Title: HBM Manual Machinist
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced HBM Manual Machinist to join a well-established fabrication company specializing in the making and repair of pumps and rotating equipment. This role involves working in the shop to recondition pumps from the field, using blueprints and drawings. The work will include handling split case pumps, overhung pumps, horizontal pumps, and multistage pumps, among others.
Responsibilities
+ Read and interpret blueprints to custom make job shop parts.
+ Machine components primarily using carbon steel and stainless steel.
+ Perform line bores on pumps, cases, faces, square plates, base plates, and internal pump parts.
+ Work with part dimensions ranging from 4 inches to 7 feet.
+ Create serrated finishes for flanges, dial pins, cut diameters on IDs, and mount faces for bearing houses.
+ Cut keyways and machine pump parts including shafts, sleeves, rings, impellers, and casings.
Essential Skills
+ 7+ years of experience as a Manual Machinist.
+ Proficiency with line bores on pumps via Horizontal Boring Mill (HBM).
+ Experience with lathe machining and vertical mills, such as Bridgeport machines.
+ Ability to read blueprints accurately.
+ Familiarity with machining pump parts, boring mills, manual lathes, and vertical turret lathes.
+ Proficiency in using micrometers.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with Vertical Turret Lathe (VTL).
+ Extensive experience machining pump parts with extremely tight tolerances.
+ Experience with turbine or compressor parts.
+ Familiarity with milling processes.

Work Environment
Work in a larger, air-conditioned fabrication shop that is clean, organized, and equipped with state-of-the-art technology. Collaborate with a mix of manual machinists, DCI technicians, and mechanics. The shop operates with 14 machinists during the day and 3 at night. The dress code includes steel-toed boots, jeans, work shirts, safety glasses, and gloves. Night shifts run from 4:30 pm to 1:00 am for 8-hour shifts and 4:30 pm to 3:00 am for 10-hour shifts, with work scheduled for 6 days a week. Depending on skill level, initial training may occur on the day shift before transitioning to the night shift.

This is a Permanent position based out of Pasadena, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $72800.00 - $83200.00/yr.

Consistent working OT through the normal work week of Mon-Sat/Sun
5% Annual Incentive Plan (AIP) bonus
5% Night Shift differential
