Job Title: CNC Machinist

Job Description

We are seeking skilled CNC Machinists to join our team for operating the CNC Hurco Mill at our Dalton location. This role involves G&M code programming directly on the machine, including editing repeat programs and creating new programs from scratch. The machinist will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating machines, and utilizing micrometers and precision measuring instruments.

Responsibilities

+ Program, set up, and operate CNC machines.

+ Utilize micrometers and precision measuring instruments.

+ Operate overhead cranes with a capacity of up to 50 tons.

+ Operate forklifts and man lifts.

+ Manually lift 20-25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.

+ Work with a variety of machines and tools within the facility, including CNC and manual mills, boring mills, lathes, and drill presses.

Essential Skills

+ 3 years of experience with horizontal Mill/Boring Mill.

+ 2 years of experience in programming G&M codes.

+ 2 years of experience in CNC Mill setup.

+ Experience with forklifts and overhead cranes.

+ Proficiency with hand tools, pneumatic tools, and hydraulic lifts.

+ Ability to lift 50 lbs.

+ Ability to program using Fanuc controls or Haas Work Station.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ 5-10 years of CNC Mill experience.

+ Experience with large steel companies.

+ Advanced welding skills.

+ Experience with a 50 Ton overhead crane.

Work Environment

Our extensive facility spans 9 acres with over 100,000 square feet under roof. It features 34 overhead and jib cranes, with capacities up to 100 tons in the assembly shop. Employees work in a dynamic and well-equipped environment with access to a variety of machining and welding equipment, including CNC and manual mills, boring mills, lathes, and drill presses. The dress code is safety-oriented, reflecting the industrial nature of the work.

This is a Permanent position based out of WATERFORD, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $37440.00 - $56160.00/yr.
