Job Title: Quality Inspector

Job Description

Join a dynamic team focused on manufacturing high-quality medical wire and tubing. We are seeking a versatile Quality Inspector experienced in working with metals to ensure production meets the highest standards. You will utilize various tools including calipers, micrometers, and optical non-contact visual inspection machines to measure length, height, and diameter. Familiarity with quality systems for documentation and data entry is essential.

Responsibilities

+ Read and interpret blueprints and specifications.

+ Monitor operations to ensure production standards are met.

+ Recommend adjustments to the assembly or production process.

+ Inspect, test, or measure materials or products being produced.

+ Measure products with rulers, calipers, gauges, or micrometers.

+ Operate electronic inspection equipment and software.

+ Approve or reject raw materials or finished products based on quality standards.

+ Remove all products and materials that fail to meet specifications.

+ Report inspection and test data such as weights, temperatures, grades, moisture content, and quantities inspected.

+ Operate electronic inspection equipment such as coordinate-measuring machines (CMMs) and 3D scanners.

+ Prepare and submit reports to Quality Management.

+ Assist production personnel in promoting ideas for controlling wasted materials and time.

Essential Skills

+ Experience in inspection and quality control.

+ Proficient use of calipers, micrometers, and visual inspection tools.

+ Ability to perform incoming, in-process, and final inspection.

+ Proficient in measuring steel wires for diameter, length, and height.

+ Experience with CMM and blueprint reading.

+ Familiarity with quality system documentation and ISO standards.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ High School Diploma required.

+ Ability to use a microscope.

+ Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness.

+ Looks for ways to improve and promote quality.

+ Applies feedback to improve performance.

+ Monitors own work to ensure quality.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rahway, NJ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.
