Description

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Paramus, New Jersey. This is a Contract to permanent position that offers a hybrid work schedule, with four days on-site and one day remote each week. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in managing financial transactions and ensuring smooth daily operations in accounts payable.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process invoices and ensure timely payments.

• Handle weekly check runs, including printing approximately 15-20 checks.

• Manage electronic payments, processing around 10 transactions weekly.

• Maintain strong relationships with vendors to address inquiries and resolve discrepancies.

• Upload and manage Excel files to support payment processing.

• Perform account coding and ensure invoices are appropriately categorized.

• Oversee Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions efficiently.

• Monitor and maintain accurate records of financial transactions.

• Collaborate with team members to improve accounts payable processes and workflows.

Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar financial role.

• Proficiency in account coding and invoice processing.

• Familiarity with Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions.

• Ability to perform check runs and manage weekly payments.

• Competence in using Excel for data uploads and financial tracking.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Effective communication and vendor management abilities.

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment.
