Senior Financial Analyst – Automation

Overview:

The Senior Financial Analyst with automation expertise is responsible for advanced financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting while leveraging automation tools to streamline and enhance processes. This role will identify opportunities for efficiencies, lead automation initiatives, and support strategic decision-making with accurate, timely financial insights. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical abilities with hands-on experience implementing automation solutions within finance operations.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Prepare and analyze financial reports, forecasts, and budgets to support business objectives.

+ Drive automation of financial reporting, data collection, and analytical processes using relevant platforms and technologies.

+ Develop and maintain dashboards and automated models for monitoring key performance indicators.

+ Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and productivity within the finance organization.

+ Collaborate cross-functionally to gather and synthesize data, supporting both routine and ad hoc reporting needs.

+ Participate in or lead automation-focused projects within finance, working closely with IT and business stakeholders.

+ Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations in reporting and analysis activities.

+ Present complex financial findings to executive leadership in a clear, actionable manner.

Requirements

Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or relevant certification preferred.

+ 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, business intelligence, or corporate finance.

+ Strong proficiency with automation tools/software (e.g., Excel macros/VBA, Alteryx, Power BI, Tableau, or ERP automation modules).

+ Advanced quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

+ Demonstrated experience improving finance processes through automation.

+ Excellent communication and presentation skills.
