Family Office Accountant

About the Role

We’re seeking a Family Office Accountant to support accounting, financial reporting, and long-term tax and investment planning for a diverse portfolio of entities and investments. This highly visible role works closely with ownership and trusted advisors on strategic financial initiatives, tax planning, and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

+ Manage accounting and reporting for family entities and investment funds.

+ Maintain general ledger for properties, partnerships, and investments.

+ Oversee bill payments, bank monitoring, and capital calls for alternative investments.

+ Prepare documentation for external tax advisors and support year-end tax filings.

+ Assist with long-term tax planning, including research on strategies such as 1031 exchanges and opportunity zones.

+ Create concise summaries of investment performance and key metrics.

+ Collaborate on process improvements and reporting automation projects.

+ Supervise offshore accounting teams and ensure quality control.

What We’re Looking For

+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

+ 3+ years of accounting experience; family office or high-net-worth tax background preferred.

+ Strong knowledge of tax code and reporting requirements.

+ Proficiency in Yardi Voyager, QuickBooks, and advanced Excel skills.

+ Exceptional communication skills and ability to present financial data clearly.

+ Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in a dynamic environment.
