Summary: ATS is seekingLevel I RT Techniciansto support work atNewport News, VAshipyard. Must be able to certify Level I RT for NAVSEA applications. Competitive pay and per diem offered during temporary assignment. Duration of project is undetermined.
A STRINGENT BACKGROUND CHECK WILL BE REQUIRED & ALL SUPPORTING DOCUMENTATION MUST BE SUBMITTED IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED.
+ State or IRRSP Gamma card required
+ 40 hours of RT Level I classroom training
+ 210 hours minimum RT gamma experience
+ 400 total experience hours (OJT) in NDT
+ Copy high school diploma
+ Copy valid driver’s license
+ Copy of original birth certificate
Site: Newport News, VA Shipbuilding (NNS)
Work Schedule: 40+ per week
Per Diem: To be eligible for per diem you will need to be more than 50 miles from your permanent residence.
Qualifications
All applicants require the following:
+ Ability to learn and comply with all company policies and procedures.
+ Excellent communication skills written and verbal.
+ Applicants must pass a drug screen and have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Work Conditions:
+ Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection.
+ Work from heights on scaffolding, ladders, elevated platforms, man-baskets, etc.
+ Work in confined spaces which will require crawling, stooping, climbing, etc.
+ Work in around operating equipment and industrial environments.
+ Work with radiation and hazardous materials such as cleaners, penetrants, film developing chemicals, etc.
+ Work shifts up to 12 hours/day and 7 days/week and travel for extended periods of time
+ Ability to lift and carry 100 pounds.
