We are looking for a Project Manager. This position can be located anywhere in the US (east coast and west coast preferred.)
The Project Manager (PM) will be responsible for driving a variety of projects for Russelectric, a Siemens Business for our ATS and Switchgear equipment. As a project manager you will be responsible for understanding contracted scope of work, allocated budget, and project turning points; defining and allocating required resources prior to equipment delivery and working with the Area Service Managers all the way through to service execution. This role is essential to making sure we understand the risk, develop mitigations, and our projects come in on time and within budget.
You will make an difference with:
Project Planning & Execution
+ Oversee projects from order entry through equipment design, manufacturing, and startup.
+ Review construction scope, schedules, and project documents for accuracy and requirements, and develop risk mitigation plans to preempt potential problems through the application of concepts, techniques, knowledge, processes, and lessons learned.
+ Review materials at the factory pre-shipment or perform pre-inspection of bill of material delivered at the customer site as needed to ensure smooth project execution.
+ Manage multiple projects simultaneously at varying stages.
Communication & Coordination
+ Serve as the primary client-facing contact, understanding the client’s current needs and anticipating future requirements.
+ Responsible for daily/weekly progress reporting and all communications with contractors, subcontractors, and clients.
+ Lead customer kickoff meetings (remote or at customer site as required) and periodic operational review meetings with the customer to maintain schedule and project organization/key contacts.
+ Optimally communicate project expectations to team members in a timely and clear fashion.
+ Drive internal coordination across various departments, including managing both in-house and third-party installation teams for complex projects.
Technical Resolution & Oversight
+ Coordinate the resolution of sophisticated issues and questions with respectively qualified Project Engineers.
+ Facilitate resolution of warranty claims as they arise on the project.
+ Attend weekly meetings, provide high-level status updates, and lead programming, Engineering, and Project Management activities.
Financial Management & Reporting
+ Communicate to finance partners estimate-at-complete project cost and scheduled completion monthly for all assigned projects, ensuring projects are delivered consistently at or below budget.
+ Support the Finance team on invoicing and coordination of invoicing. Provide "lessons learned" feedback to the Quotations team on selective complicated projects.

Basic Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field **OR** equivalent technical experience. A strong technical background can substitute for a degree
+ 5+ years of experience with following:
+ Working with or in industries such as electrical equipment, construction, energy, utility, or oil & gas
+ Proven ability to influence without authority, along with strong verbal and written communication skills in English
+ 3+ years of experience with the following:
+ Direct project management
+ Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
+ Identify contractual risks and working to mitigate exposure
+ Willingness and ability to travel up to 20%
+ Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Highly prefer experience with critical power projects, specifically in data centers and hospitals
+ Experience working with Power Control Systems (switchgear) and Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS)
+ Previous critical power field service experience
+ Experience working with contractors, subcontractors, and engineering firms
+ SAP
+ Financial acumen and contract management knowledge are valued
