    Job Title: Payroll Specialist/HR Coordinator

    Job Description

    A mid-sized manufacturing firm in South Seattle is seeking a Payroll Specialist/HR Coordinator for a 6-month temporary-to-hire position. This role involves supporting human resource programs and handling payroll processing for approximately 100 employees.

    Responsibilities

    + Assist in administering and executing human resource programs including compensation, benefits, leave, productivity, recognition, morale, occupational health and safety, and training and development.

    + Ensure accurate processing and record-keeping for health and welfare plans and payroll.

    + Coordinate, plan, and implement company events.

    + Support accounting books and records.

    + Assist with weekly payroll processing for 100 employees.

    + Provide coordination and support for ad hoc projects as assigned.

    Essential Skills

    + 1-2 years of experience in payroll or HR coordination.

    + Excellent attention to detail and critical thinking skills.

    + Ability to prioritize tasks and work well under pressure.

    + Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

    + Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + High school diploma or equivalent required; BA or AA preferred.

    + Prior experience in accounting and human resources is preferred but not required.

    + Experience with data entry and Visual Manufacturing is a plus.

    + Adaptability, self-motivation, and problem-solving abilities.

    Work Environment

    This role is based in a manufacturing and machine shop setting. The work environment is collaborative and team-oriented, requiring adherence to safety and compliance standards. Free parking is available onsite. Integrity and confidentiality are crucial, as the role involves handling personal and company data.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Seattle, WA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $33.00/hr.
