Job Description
Deliver exceptional member service through accurate transaction processing and a consultative, needs-based approach. Focus on building new member relationships while deepening and retaining existing ones by offering relevant financial products and services.
Responsibilities
+ Accurately process member transactions.
+ Educate members on convenient service channels such as online banking, mobile apps, automated phone systems, and the contact center.
+ Resolve member inquiries and concerns promptly, involving other teams as needed.
+ Assist with inbound calls to support overall member service.
+ Apply a needs-based sales approach to identify opportunities for additional products and services.
+ Open new memberships, accounts, and loans; process related transactions.
+ Refer members to specialists for financial planning, insurance, real estate, and business services when appropriate.
+ Support daily operational tasks including ATM balancing and branch proofing.
+ Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
+ Maintain in-depth knowledge of products and services through ongoing training.
+ Assist in training new team members as needed.
+ Participate in required compliance training such as Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).
+ Meet or exceed individual and team goals by consistently applying the organization’s sales and service model.
+ Support marketing programs and promotions by creating member awareness.
+ Contribute to projects and initiatives as assigned.
Essential Skills
+ Customer service experience.
+ Proficiency with POS systems.
+ Familiarity with MS Office.
+ High School Diploma or GED.
+ Banking experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Excellent communication skills.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
+ Strong problem-solving abilities.
Work Environment
This role requires availability Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM, and Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. While you may not work every Saturday, you must be available during these hours. The role is based in various locations, including Chatham, Colonie, Guilderland, Halfmoon, and Niskayuna, NY.

This is a Permanent position based out of Colonie, NY.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
