Summary You will serve as a Program Manager (Operations Officer) in the Office of the Executive Director of NAVSAFECOM. Responsibilities You will review and evaluate incoming and outgoing command correspondence. You will prepare notes, executive summaries, interpretations, or cogent recommendations to be seen by senior leaders. You will serve as a personal advisor and consultant on executive administrative matters, advice and guidance. You will provide program and policy support to the Commander, Deputy Commander, and Executive Director. You will work with NAVSAFCEN Directors, Department Heads and other staff to manage and the current year's execution plan. You will plan and execute the Command Protocol Program, providing official protocol principles, comprehensive guidance, and coordination on events involving high ranking civilian and military officials. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Setting goals and deadlines, planning workflows, and managing priorities in small to medium organizational leadership and program management; 2) Independent problem-identification and problem-solving with little to no supervisory guidance, to include demonstrated initiative to overcome obstacles during project completion; 3) Defining organizational safety and risk management goals and objectives; 4) Interpreting and writing policies, regulations, procedures, goals and objectives.
