    Position Overview

    We are seeking a Manager of Patient Access to lead and oversee patient registration and financial clearance activities across multiple entry points within the hospital. This role is critical in ensuring operational excellence, compliance, and a positive patient experience.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Oversee five points of entry: ER, Radiology, Main Registration, Lab, and Medical Office Building.

    + Serve as the on-site leader managing a team of 20 direct reports, including Supervisors and Patient Access Representatives.

    + Rotate on-call duties every other weekend with Team Lead.

    + Develop and implement short- and long-term plans for registration processes, including pre-service and point-of-service financial clearance.

    + Manage operational metrics to meet organizational goals, including Service Level Agreements and budgetary guidelines.

    + Lead staffing activities: hiring, training, performance management, and staff engagement.

    + Mentor supervisors and foster team growth aligned with organizational strategy.

    + Communicate proactively with leadership and staff, providing feedback and solutions for improvement.

    + Enforce departmental policies and assist in developing new policies in line with hospital and corporate guidelines.

    + Prepare and manage budgets and cost-control measures.

    Required Qualifications

    + 3–5 years of healthcare supervisory experience, including direct team leadership (physician practice experience acceptable).

    + High School Diploma required; college degree preferred.

    + Strong understanding of the relationship between admitting, clinical areas, financial areas, and pre-service/point-of-service clearance.

    + Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.

    + Demonstrated leadership and management abilities.

    + Thorough knowledge of healthcare information systems and computer applications.

    + Clear understanding of Revenue Cycle Management and regulatory requirements.

    + Strong communication skills (oral and written).

    + Ability to drive and monitor operational metrics.

    Preferred Skills

    + Experience in budget management and cost control.

    + Ability to mentor and develop supervisors.

    + Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

    Indirect Reports: Patient Access Representatives I–IV

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $85000.00/yr.
