Entry-Level Data Center Cable Technician

Pay: $20–$23/hr (Entry Level) | $24–$27/hr (2+ years fiber experience)

About the Role

We are hiring multiple entry-level cable technicians for a large-scale data center project. This is a hands-on opportunity to learn structured cabling and fiber installation while working on one of the most advanced data center environments in the country.

What You’ll Do

+ Pull and install fiber and copper cables

+ Terminate connections and perform punchdowns

+ Install cable trays, pathways, and build server racks

+ Learn color codes and structured cabling standards

+ Work alongside experienced technicians and team leads

+ Follow strict safety protocols and use PPE

Relocation Details

+ Must relocate to Altoona, IA for 6 months

+ Transition to Lebanon, IN for a long-term role

+ Free lodging provided during the initial assignment

+ $50/day per diem

Requirements

+ Entry-level candidates welcome

+ Experience with Cat5/Cat6 cabling, fiber splicing, or telecom installation preferred

+ Ability to use hand tools and read blueprints

+ Reliable, coachable, and safety-conscious

+ Must pass drug test and BGC

+ Steel-toe shoes required on Day 1 (basic hand tools are a plus)

Schedule

+ Monday–Friday, 7 AM–7 PM

+ Overtime possible (10–12 hour days, 6 days/week if needed)

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
