Job Description:

We are hiring entry-level cable technicians to join a major data center buildout project. No prior telecom experience? No problem! This is an excellent opportunity to start a career in structured cabling and fiber installation at a data center.

Responsibilities include:

+ Assisting senior technicians and team leads in building cable infrastructure

+ Pulling cable and fiber

+ Learning color codes, punchdown, and fiber termination

+ Installing cable trays and pathways

+ Building server racks

Technicians will likely start by installing cable trays and assembling server racks before moving into fiber and cabling tasks.

Compensation:

+ Entry-Level (Level 1): $20–$23/hr

+ Experienced (2+ years with fiber in data centers): $24–$27/hr

Additional Perks:

+ Free lodging during Altoona assignment

+ $25/day per diem

Work Environment:

+ work at data center space

+ Ongoing construction site; must be comfortable with heights

+ Monday–Friday, core hours 7 AM–7 PM (may extend to 10–12 hour days, 6 days/week if behind schedule)

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
