Quality Assurance Manager
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to oversee quality control operations for our manufacturing facility. This role is critical in maintaining product excellence, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across all production processes.
**Location** : Onsite in Los Angeles, CA
**Hours** : M-F 6:30am-3pm
**Compensation** : $43-$45/hour for contract, 90-95k for direct
**Type** : Contract to hire or Direct hire
Key Responsibilities
+ Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive quality procedures, standards, and specifications.
+ Monitor manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with national and international production standards.
+ Partner with procurement teams to establish and verify quality requirements for raw materials from external suppliers.
+ Conduct rigorous testing to validate that incoming materials and finished products meet established quality specifications.
+ Approve compliant products and reject non-conforming items.
+ Monitor production activities to identify any deviations from quality policies.
+ Prepare comprehensive reports for senior management on quality activities and outcomes.
+ Conduct research to identify opportunities for waste reduction and resource optimization.
+ Supervise and mentor technicians, inspectors, and quality staff.
+ Ensure team members execute their responsibilities according to established quality procedures.
Required Qualifications
+ Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Microbiology, Biology, or related scientific discipline.
+ Minimum 4-5 years in a leadership capacity with direct reports (Lead, Supervisor, or Manager role).
+ **Cosmetics industry experience is essential.**
+ Food & Beverage industry background may be considered.
+ Proven experience drafting, writing, and revising Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
+ Hands-on experience with internal and external audits.
+ Proficiency in change control processes.
+ Comprehensive documentation skills across quality systems.
