A leading cosmetic manufacturer in Los Angeles is seeking a skilled **Quality Assurance Manager** to oversee product quality, compliance, and continuous improvement across our production operations. This role is essential in ensuring that all products meet established standards of safety, performance, and regulatory compliance.
Employment Type:** **Full-Time (Contract to hire)
Pay:** **$40–$45/hour
Key Responsibilities
+ Establish and implement quality procedures, standards, and specifications across the organization.
+ Partner with purchasing teams to ensure raw materials from suppliers meet required quality standards.
+ Maintain and enforce workplace health and safety standards aligned with regulatory expectations.
+ Identify opportunities to reduce waste and optimize utilization of resources.
+ Ensure manufacturing processes meet national and international cosmetic production standards (FDA, GMP, ISO, etc.).
+ Conduct customer requirement surveys and ensure products meet established expectations.
+ Perform testing and inspection of materials and finished products to verify compliance with specifications.
+ Recommend improvements to existing quality control processes and systems.
+ Collect, track, and analyze quality performance data; identify trends and corrective actions.
+ Lead and supervise QA technicians, inspectors, and related staff to ensure adherence to quality protocols.
+ Monitor product development processes to identify deviations from quality standards.
+ Test and evaluate incoming raw materials and outgoing finished products.
+ Review and update process and product specifications to support continuous improvement.
+ Approve compliant products; reject and document defective items.
+ Prepare and present QA performance reports to senior leadership.
+ Maintain accurate records of all tests, procedures, and quality standards.
+ Perform additional duties as needed to support company objectives.
Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree required (Science, Engineering, or related field preferred).
+ 3+ years of leadership experience in the cosmetics manufacturing industry.
+ Strong understanding of cosmetic GMP, regulatory compliance, and quality systems.
+ Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
+ Proven ability to lead and develop a QA team in a fast-paced production environment.
