We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide quality care in a school clinic setting. This position offers a consistent weekday schedule as well as flexible PRN shifts, giving you the perfect balance of stability and flexibility. Requirement : At least 1 year pediatric experience Location: Hillsborough County Schools

Schedule: Monday–Friday

Hours: PRN or Full Time Openings

About the role

The School Nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for the application of the nursing process and the delivery of student/client care and/or contracted services in a school setting. The School Nurse may also be in a supervisory position within the contracted services. The School Nurse provides services in accordance with Amergis Healthcare Staffing's philosophy, standards, policies and physician orders.

Responsibilities:

+ Provide routine and emergency health care to students during school hours

+ Administer prescribed medications and maintain accurate medication logs

+ Perform basic health assessments and monitor chronic conditions

+ Respond promptly to injuries and illnesses, following school health protocols

+ Document all health-related visits and maintain confidential student records

+ Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and healthcare providers regarding student health needs

+ Support health education initiatives and promote wellness within the school community

+ Ensure compliance with state and district health regulations

Requirements:

+ Active LPN license in Florida

+ Current BLS Certification

+ Full command, verbal and written, of the English language.

+ One year prior Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) experience preferred.

+ Minimum 1 year of pediatric experience

+ Strong communication and organizational skills
