Schedule: 7:50 AM – 2:40 PM | ASAP – End of Year
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our team and support students in grades K–2. As a resource teacher, you will provide individualized instruction, collaborate with general education staff, and ensure every child receives the support they need to succeed. With para support in the classroom, you’ll have the resources and teamwork necessary to create a nurturing and effective learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
+ Deliver high-quality special education services to students in kindergarten through 2nd grade.
+ Collaborate with general education teachers to design and implement individualized education programs (IEPs).
+ Provide targeted instruction, tutorial assistance, and consultation to support student success.
+ Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages growth and independence.
+ Participate actively in team planning and professional development opportunities.
Minimum Requirements
+ Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (preferred).
+ Valid state teaching certificate as required by district and state regulations.
+ Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred; Early Childhood Special Education approval accepted.
+ Minimum of one year teaching experience (preferred).
+ State Teacher Certification: Standard Elementary, Secondary, or Special Teaching (preferred).
+ Compliance with all professional standards of practice.
+ Current CPR certification (if applicable).
+ TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest x-ray (if applicable).
+ Current health certificate per state/district requirements.
+ Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements.
+ Must be at least 18 years of age.
