13626BRJob Description:U. S. Steel is seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant at our Great Lakes facility.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Support & Data Analysis:
+ Collaborate with key managers to develop and implement departmental strategies, using data insights to guide decision-making.
+ Analyze departmental performance metrics and trends, preparing actionable reports that highlight opportunities for improvement.
+ Assist in tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide data-driven insights to inform business strategies and operational adjustments.
+ Support in the preparation of presentations and strategic documents, using data to communicate key objectives and results effectively.
Reporting & Documentation:
+ Prepare and manage daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports, ensuring that data is accurate and highlights key trends.
+ Draft, proof, and manage departmental communications, maintaining high standards of accuracy, professionalism, and clarity.
Meeting Coordination & Support:
+ Plan, organize, and coordinate departmental meetings, ensuring all logistics and materials are in place.
+ Take minutes during meetings, capturing key decisions, action items, and performance-related data for follow-up and future reference.
Resource & Staff Coordination:
+ Oversee coordination of resources and equipment for new hires, ensuring that all materials and systems are set up efficiently.
+ Assist with scheduling training sessions and development programs for department staff, aligning resources to enhance team performance.
Office Management & Operational Support:
+ Manage day-to-day office operations, including mail distribution, office supply management, and maintaining organizational systems.
+ Support key managers by organizing workflows, monitoring progress on projects, and ensuring the efficient execution of departmental tasks.
Data Integrity & Confidential Information Management:
+ Ensure the accuracy and security of sensitive data related to departmental staffing, operations, employee performance, and financial records.
+ Maintain confidentiality while managing operational and financial data, ensuring compliance with company policies and external regulations.
Required Qualifications:
+ Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
+ Experience: Minimum of 5 years of office experience, with strong data management and analysis skills. Proven ability to handle sensitive information and support strategic initiatives.
Technical Skills:
+ Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (for data analysis) and PowerPoint (for presentations).
+ Experience with data visualization tools or reporting software is a plus.
+ Ability to perform data analysis and generate insights that guide decision-making.
Analytical Skills:
+ Strong data analysis skills with the ability to identify trends, generate actionable insights, and support strategic planning.
+ Ability to prepare clear, concise reports based on complex data sets, tailored to various stakeholders.
Organizational Skills:
+ Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, prioritizing tasks based on department needs.
Communication Skills:
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with key managers and present data-driven findings clearly.
Confidentiality:
+ Proven ability to manage confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
