    We are seeking a Materials Planner for our Planning Team. This position is closely tied with our Production and is an important asset to our overall mission. The ideal candidate would have previous costing systems and planning experience, good task management skills, and a strong teamwork mentality with a passion for our purpose.

    Your responsibilities

    + Develops and implements order policies and executes material requirement plans for raw and packaging materials, ensuring inventories achieve business objectives

    + Responsible for inventory strategies, budgets/projections, reviewing obsolescence risk and material forecasting to ensure achievement of goals

    + Leads and manages supply issues through coordination with vendor contacts, Quality, Strategic Sourcing, Operations, Production Planners and N.A. Planning

    + Works within and maintains SAP/APO (ECC/SCM) systems and master data to insure MRP planning accuracy

    + Develops, maintains and continually enhances knowledge of SAP system transaction methods and procedures within Planning, Purchasing and Receiving areas independently

    + Exhibits technical competence in performing varied, complex planning functions and project oriented responsibilities. Handles substantive problems independently

    + Effectively organizes and prioritizes tasks involving a mix of resources including people, data, materials and inputs independently

    + Leads and implements projects as necessary to support business objectives

    + Develops, implements and complies with procedures and work instructions

    + Develops, implements and monitors performance metrics and drives continuous improvement

    + Foresees how decision may impact the rest of the organization, assesses benefits and cost of all decisions

    + Effectively communicates both written and orally through both formal and informal documents

    + Demonstrates an understanding of teams, team building and a willingness to work in a team environment

    + Demonstrates excellent analytical problem solving and interpersonal skills in providing solutions to customer needs

    + Develops and maintains effective partnerships with key resources and functions including Strategic Sourcing, Quality, Finance, Distribution and other Supply Chain functions to resolve issues and achieve company objectives

    + Influences others through discussion, compromise and application of negotiation skills to obtain desired outcome

    + Other duties as assigned

    The experience we're looking for

    + Bachelors degree in a related field with 3-5 years experience in supply chain functions strongly preferred

    + APICS certification (CPIM) or CPM preferred

    + Mastery of material management techniques as well as information management systems, supply chain, and logistics. Advanced understanding of operations, distribution, project management, and financial processes and associated performance measurement systems

    + Mastery of material management systems SAP/APO (ECC/SCM), Business Objects and Microsoft Office (excel, word, and power point)

    + Working knowledge of the forecasting process, quality assurance practices, finance and product costing systems, and factors which influence cost

    + In-depth organizing, negotiating and problem solving skills

    + Understanding of Process Improvement tools (Lean-six sigma) preferred

    US salary ranges

    USD 73,000 - 109,000

    US pay transparency

     

    The base salary range for this role will vary based on experience in job and industry, training and education, skills relevant to the position, and other factors permitted by law. In addition to the base salary, the position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, which is subject to change each year.
