Accounting Manager
Salt Lake City, Utah (Hybrid)
Our client, a private family office with a diversified investment portfolio, is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee financial operations, reporting, and strategic planning across multiple entities and asset classes.
This is a hands-on role suited for someone who enjoys variety - moving seamlessly between day-to-day accounting and higher-level financial strategy. The position offers exposure to a broad range of activities, including real estate, partnerships, and private investments.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Operations
+ Manage daily accounting functions (AP, AR, GL, reconciliations)
+ Lead the month-end and year-end close for multiple entities
+ Prepare journal entries, accruals, and financial statements
+ Support audit, tax filings, and compliance
Financial Analysis & Reporting
+ Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning
+ Provide financial insights, KPI reporting, and ad-hoc analysis
+ Create clean financial packages for leadership
Strategic & Cross-Functional Work
+ Partner with leadership on special projects and new investments
+ Support real estate, investment, and operating entity financial management
+ Step into entry-level accounting tasks when needed to keep operations moving
Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
+ 3–7+ years of progressive accounting experience; real estate, multi-entity, or family-office experience a plus
+ Strong GAAP knowledge and financial analysis experience
+ Highly adaptable with strong communication and organizational skills
+ Comfortable working independently and wearing multiple hats
