The Senior Project Manager – Costuming is responsible for the end-to-end management of global Costuming initiatives, including the concurrent management of projects with multi-year durations and budgets ranging from small to many millions. The types of projects include, but are not limited to, developing new business applications and system integrations, identifying and evaluating new business models, driving globalization and new business opportunities, and process improvement for our end-to-end supply chain.
You will report to the Senior Manager – Projects & Initiatives.
This role is a Full-Time role.
What You Will Do:
+ Establish project scopes, detailed business requirements, timelines, budgets and cash flows
+ Serves as the primary liaison between multiple teams, including Costuming (domestic and international sites), Finance, Strategic Sourcing, Legal, Technology & Digital, and external vendors
+ Right-sizes project management methodology and tools to the individual needs of each project
+ Assesses project risks and formulate mitigation plans
+ Fosters relationships with business partners in our theme parks and resorts worldwide to influence and drive projects and best practice sharing across sites
+ Provides briefings and status reports to executives, leaders and team members on a regular basis, identifying key milestones and critical path elements
+ Ensures proper project closure including retrospectives/lessons learned, documentation for all processes and systems, and final financial reporting
+ Support the development and expansion of the Costuming Project Management Office
Required Qualifications:
+ 5+ years of experience leading multi-year programs/projects with budgets greater than $1M
+ Certification in two or more of the following areas: Project Management (i.e. CAPM, PMP, etc.), Agile (i.e. PMI-ACP, CSM, CSPO, etc.), Business Analysis (i.e. PMI-PBA, CBAP, etc.), Six Sigma (Green Belt, Black Belt or Master Black Belt), ITIL, Supply Chain
+ Previous experience with multiple project management methodologies, as well as experience with pragmatic blending of styles to facilitate collaboration and delivery (i.e. Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, Kanban, DMAIC, DFSS, etc.)
+ Strong negotiation, partnering and influencing abilities that result in win/win agreements and outcomes
+ Effective in communicating (written & verbal) with all levels of partners
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to achieve business results
+ Skilled facilitator that can lead project meetings and large workshops driving commitments, accountability, and deliverables
+ Proven track record of delivering projects on-time and on-budget while communicating with executive leadership, sponsors and stakeholders
+ Strong business and financial acumen
+ Proficient with project management tools (i.e. Smartsheet, Jira, Confluence, Monday.com, MS Project, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Knowledge of Disney Theme Parks & Resorts, Disney Cruise Line and Costuming operations
+ Familiarity with Costuming specific systems and technology including RFID, GUS, SAP Inventory Management, and SAP Warehouse Management
+ Familiar with SQL programming and business intelligence tools (i.e. Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services, Tableau, etc.)
+ Skilled in supply chain principles and strategies
+ Experience leading supply chain, consulting or business integration projects
Education:
+ High School Diploma or equivalent experience required
+ Bachelor's Degree in Project Management, Industrial Engineering, or business-related field preferred
