    What it's like to be a Inventory Control Assistant at Inventory Control Assistant

    As a Full Time Inventory Control Assistant at Viking Coca Cola, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of our inventory systems. Your day will involve performing daily cycle counts across various product lines to ensure physical inventory aligns with our Warehouse Management System (WMS) and ERP records. You'll delve into discrepancies, conducting thorough investigations to pinpoint errors through root cause analysis and reviewing audit trails. Your keen attention to detail will be vital as you adjust inventory records, ensuring proper documentation and approvals for accuracy.

     

    Additionally, you'll participate in full physical inventories and uphold the proper labeling, storage, and handling of products, adhering to the First Expired, First Out (FEFO) method. Operating warehouse equipment safely, greeting truckers, and ensuring seamless product intake will make every day exciting, as you help harmonize our production data with actual inventory to maintain operational excellence.

    To thrive as a Full Time Inventory Control Assistant at Viking Coca Cola, you'll need a strong foundation in inventory management and warehouse operations. A high school diploma or equivalent is essential, alongside 1-3 years of experience in inventory control. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required, along with the adaptability to learn new software programs as needed. A proactive, self-motivated mindset is key for identifying and resolving issues before they escalate, complemented by robust analytical and problem-solving abilities. Attention to detail is critical, ensuring accuracy in all transactions.

     

    The capacity to multitask amid frequent interruptions and meet deadlines will be vital in this fast-paced environment. Effective communication skills are necessary to interact professionally with all organizational levels. A working knowledge of warehouse principles is important, as is the ability to obtain forklift certification, which we provide. Flexibility with work hours, including potential weekends, is also required to ensure operational continuity.
