Position Overview
Shaw Industries is recruiting for an HR Representative to assist the HR manager in all HR related issues. Provide ideas and solutions to human resources issues including retention, recognition, corrective actions, benefits, and others.
Responsibilities:
+ Assist associates with problems related to pay, benefits, FMLA, Workday, job changes, transfers, pay rates, attendance, etc.
+ Coordinate the hiring process by posting job openings in Workday, working with Recruiting to assist in coordinating interviews, extending offers, scheduling drug screens, completing all steps in the new hire process, scheduling new employee/plant orientation, and entering information into Workday.
+ Enter employee information into Workday and plant reports including new hire information, termination information, corrective action and job bid information.
+ Process associate specific data in Workday.
+ Generate HR data reports on a weekly, monthly, quarterly basis for Managers and other support staff, as needed. Ensure the reports are accurate.
+ Update various means of HR communication on a weekly and as needed basis such as FDB HR topics, Plant TV PowerPoint Presentations, HR posting areas throughout the plants, etc.
+ Conduct meetings with associates to increase understanding and awareness of benefits and programs, changes in benefits for upcoming Open Enrollment periods.
+ Works closely with Temporary Staffing Services and with departments when temporary associates are needed. This includes being the liaison between the Staffing group and management to coordinate activities and communicate effectively between those involved.
+ Handles weekly reporting of worker's compensation transitional duty information.
+ Maintain P-Card transactions and keep up with spending.
+ Work with plant management and production employees to develop and maintain a work environment that supports continuous improvement with regard to safety, quality and productivity.
Additional Responsibilities:
+ Plan, coordinate and assist with employee appreciation events and awareness activities.
+ Assist managers and associates in learning Workforce and Workday by teaching new tools and tips.
+ Coordinate/host monthly birthday meetings and order gifts for associates according to corporate policy.
+ Lead and serve on various committees as needed.
+ Comply with Sarbanes Quarterly audits.
+ Maintain HR files and comply with corporate records policies.
+ Schedule and assist in coordination of plant wellness events.
+ Maintain confidentiality of all information related to personnel and other sensitive matters.
+ Assist in keeping HR office in compliance with Records Retention policies and procedures.
+ Perform miscellaneous clerical tasks with speed and accuracy with minimal supervision.
+ General housekeeping to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
+ Perform other duties as directed by supervisors or plant management.

Position Requirements:
+ High School Diploma/GED required.
+ Working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office package.
+ 2+ years Clerical/Office experience.
+ Availability to work across multiple shifts/different hours of the day/night.
+ Experience in Human Resources preferred.
+ Experience in Workday and Workforce preferred.
+ Communicate effectively with all levels of management, supervisors and associates.
+ Perform miscellaneous clerical tasks with speed and accuracy with minimal supervision.
+ Work well under pressure with the ability to meet deadlines.
+ Spanish (written and oral) skills are strongly preferred.
Work Shift
8 Hr non-rotating shift, Hrs fall to in punch day, Observed Calendar, shift starts AM
