Purpose:

Responsible for performing a wide variety of electronic or electro-mechanical assembly operations on assemblies or sub-assemblies. Determines and/or follows methods sheets and assembly drawings in performing wiring, component installation, hand soldering and cable harnessing on assembly units or receives verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written or verbal form.

Responsibilities:

+ Assemble power supplies, sub-assemblies (transformers, EMI box, etc.) controllers, TWTAs, KPAs, SSPAs, and other electrical equipment.

+ Assembles mechanical components including soldering and crimping

+ Identify and rework defects

+ Read and understand Assembly Instructions

+ Use small hand tools, magnifying lamps, microscopes, rulers and calipers

+ Read and understand Change Orders and assembly prints

+ Understand component identification

+ Assemble mechanical hardware

+ Performs inspection of all materials and documentation prior to performing assigned tasks.

+ Ensures tooling and test equipment used is properly calibrated.

+ Performs other duties and responsibilities when required.

+ Multi-task and adjust quickly to high paced teamwork environment

Requirements:

Education:

+ High School diploma.

Experience:

+ Candidate must have a minimum of five (5) years' experience in the electronic manufacturing industry with emphasis on mechanical assembly capabilities.
