Insight Global is seeking a highly skilled Network Operations Engineer to join a rapidly growing AI cloud and computing organization with datacenter campuses across the U.S. This position will be based at one of the company’s regional datacenter sites and offers a hybrid work model.
This is a full-time, permanent role with a competitive salary, equity package, and comprehensive benefits.
The Network Operations Engineer will serve as the Regional Site Lead, taking ownership of network operations for a designated datacenter campus. This individual will be responsible for ensuring network reliability through Tier 2/3 incident response, break-fix coordination, and operational excellence. The role involves hands-on troubleshooting, deployment support, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to maintain high availability and performance standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Own network operations for a regional datacenter campus; act as primary contact for network health and incident response.
• Troubleshoot Tier 2/3 network issues across physical and logical layers; lead incident resolution.
• Coordinate hardware break-fix activities (line card swaps, optic replacements, RMAs).
• Support deployments and expansions; validate production readiness and ensure smooth handovers.
• Execute and improve operational runbooks; document lessons learned.
• Collaborate with onsite teams, vendors, and logistics partners; communicate network status and maintenance plans.
• Mentor junior engineers as regional team scales.

Skills and Requirements
Must-Have Skills
• 5–8 years in network engineering with strong operational experience.
• Expertise in datacenter fabrics: EVPN/VXLAN, BGP, CLOS topologies, high-radix switching.
• Proven incident response leadership and troubleshooting under pressure.
• Hands-on experience with hardware break-fix and datacenter logistics.
• Ability to work hybrid (remote + onsite) and adapt to operational needs. Nice-to-Haves
• AI/HPC fabric operations (RoCEv2, PFC, ECN).
• Regional/campus operations leadership experience.
• Familiarity with observability tools and basic automation (Python, Ansible).
• Experience in follow-the-sun support models.
