    POSITION SUMMARY

    The Paint Operations Assistant supports the paint shop by ensuring materials, equipment, and documentation are prepared and organized for efficient production. This role assists with workflow coordination, part movement, basic mixing tasks, and general upkeep to maintain a safe, clean, and high-quality finishing environment. The technician helps keep daily operations running smoothly and performs additional duties as needed.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    All employees are required to support Rosenbauer’s Mission, Vision, and Values.  The following are the essential duties of this position and do not include marginal functions that are incidental to the performance of fundamental job duties. The scope and duties of a given position may change or be temporarily altered based on the business needs of Rosenbauer.

     

    Order and maintain stock of liquid paint materials, including paints, primers, and related products.

     

    Mix paints and primers according to approved spray-out cards and established specifications.

     

    Restock prepping supplies, such as sanding paper and other consumables.

     

    Track parts throughout the paint process to ensure accurate workflow and production status.

     

    Handle, move, and position cabs using appropriate fixtures and equipment, including mounting them on various stands or jigs.

     

    Prepare build books and ensure accurate documentation is available for production teams.

     

    Maintain organization and cleanliness of the paint mixing room, including compliance with safety and environmental standards.

     

    Complete daily inspections to support quality, safety, and readiness within the department.

     

    Assist with general housekeeping along the paint production line to support a clean and efficient workspace.

     

    Performs other duties and responsibilities as required by management to meet the needs of the company.

     

    ### Minimum Education Required

    High school diploma/GED.

     

    ### Minimum Experience Required

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSA’s): The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.

    Knowledge, Education, and/or Experience:

    High school diploma/GED.

     

    Strong mechanical and technical ability required.

     

    Associate degree in autobody preferred.

     

    2+ years of experience in autobody preferred.

     

    Manufacturing experience preferred.

    Skills:

    Language:

    Able to follow written and verbal directions.

    Math:

    Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.

    Computer:

    Able to perform simple computer tasks to obtain information/changes related to the build process and/or troubleshoot.

    Abilities:

    Able to identify quality issues, recognize changes within the production process, and adjust as needed.

     

    Able to prioritize work and to multitask while adhering to deadlines.

     

    Able to work with minimal supervision in a team environment.

     

    Able to understand and follow all safety policies to promote a safe working environment for all.

     

    Ability to read a tape measure accurately and precisely.

     

    Able to read and work from blueprints/spec book.
