    Summary This position is located in The Office of the Assistant Secretary of War for Industrial Base Policy, (ASW(IBP)). IBP is responsible for ensuring robust, secure, resilient, and innovative industrial capabilities upon which the Department of War can rely, in an era of great power competition, to fulfill current and future Warfighter requirements. Responsibilities This is a Direct Hire Public Notice, under this recruitment, applications will be accepted for each location and/or installation identified in this Public Notice and selections are made for vacancies as they occur. Incumbents typical work assignments may include the following: Serves as an industrial analysis team lead, the incumbent is responsible for assessing and ensuring the health of the industrial base, both domestic and international, for DoW systems. Ensures the rapid response of the Department and the inter-agency to protect and sustain a healthy industrial base. Supports Congressional inquiries, statutory requirements, business case assessments for industrial base investment programs, and other assessments as required by ASW(IBP). Identifies risks and issues, quantify those issues, and identify potential resourcing mitigations to address them. The assessments will incorporate sufficient market research, cost, import/export, and other related data to implement acquisition and investment programs by OSW activities. Prepares required documentation in support of ASW(IBP), including but not limited to: Congressional reports, briefings, and questions for the record; read-aheads for leadership meetings; industrial base assessments in support of acquisition milestone decisions; and briefings for government and industry meetings and conferences. The incumbent analyzes the impact of industrial policy on defense systems, critical minerals, munitions, and other weapon system supply chains, and drafts recommendations for Executive Orders, DFARS rule making, and prohibited sourcing guidance. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below. You may qualify at the NH-IV level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirement: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-III grade level in the Federal service (experience may have been gained in the private sector) that demonstrates knowledge managing broad resourcing portfolios and coordinating and executing industrial base analysis with senior staff within the Department and provide detailed analysis on industrial supply chain gaps and resourcing solutions. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. All qualifications and education requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement and clearly documented in your resume. Your resume may not exceed two (2) pages.
