    A Brief Overview

     

    Responsible for supervising the activities of the accounts receivable, credit balance, and denials staff in their daily tasks. Responsible for denials, credit balance resolution and accounts receivable follow up. Coordinates with the Accounts Receivable Manager and Business Office Director to ensure quality account services. Supports the execution of process flow for collection and accounts receivable to achieve quality results. Provides guidance and supervision to Accounts Receivable team members, inclusive of the accounts receivable Associate's, denials Associate's, and credit balance Associate's. Works with the Accounts Receivable Manager to validate accuracy of accounts receivable Associate's' performance, conducting quality audits, training team members, evaluating and ensuring quality performance.

    What you will do

    + Oversees the day to day efforts of the accounts receivable, credit balance, and denials associate's in prioritizing, troubleshooting, and monitoring accounts.

    + The Supervisor is available to the accounts receivable, credit balance, and denials associate's for questions, support, and triaging to the Accounts Receivable Manager.

    + Assists the Accounts Receivable Manager with the development of immediate and future goals and objectives for the department.

    + Assists with the analysis, collection of and maintenance of records as needed by the Quality Assurance Department, Joint Commission accreditation, OSHA guidelines or as may be required by the law.

    + Support the operations when needed. This could include assisting with escalated customers with questions or disputes over customers' bills/charges, and answer incoming phone calls regarding billing/charge questions, credit terms or complaints.

    + Responsible for verification of Billing Accuracy.

    + Review and initiation of appeal information when appropriate.

    + Implements process changes to accelerate cash flow and improve department productivity.

    + Participate in continuing education programs and professional activities in revenue cycle and healthcare finance.

    + Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, developing, training, and retaining employees; planning, assigning, and leading work; appraising performance; rewarding and coaching employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

    Required Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:

    + Bachelor's in business, economics, management, accounting or related field or an equivalent combination of education and required experience.
