Summary
We are seeking a driven individual whose knowledge and skills will contribute to taking our Planning team on a journey towards best practices. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of production and capacity planning in manufacturing industry, and will join a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, while working closely with Operations, Procurement and Logistics/Inventory teams.
Under the direction of the Supply Chain Manager, the Production Planner has the overall responsibility of monitoring and addressing all forms of demand for finished assemblies and sub-assemblies in Brewster. The person in this role will have raw material responsibilities to trigger purchase requisitions for precious and non-precious metal requirements. The position requires direct communication and collaboration with the rest of the Supply Chain organization. Additionally, this individual will enhance and correct master data elements, to ensure reliability of the MRP messages in the future.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The Production Planner has the responsibility to monitor and address all forms of demand (sales orders, sales forecast, safety stock) for finished and sub-assemblies in plant Brewster by creating/releasing production orders and partnering with Production in ensuring the orders are addressed timely. This responsibility involves converting a rough-cut capacity schedule into a detailed production plan in the enterprise resource planning system while reviewing the work center loading versus available capacity.
The individual in this role will partner with Procurement to secure availability of raw material necessary to maintain a leveled production schedule and prevent disruptions. They will revise the schedule accordingly when risk occurs.
This role will be responsible for determining feasibility of demand by having a deep understanding of the factory’s bottlenecks and flexibility parameters. She/he will be an active partner in the Sales and Operations Planning process, and coordinate with Customer Service, Product Management, and other departments as needed to relay findings and propose solutions.
They will participate in Supply Chain related projects to drive continuous improvement; will collaborate with the team to analyze transactional data to look for trends and opportunities for improvement in Planning.
They will collaborate within the team on managing the outside vendor operations against production orders.
Participate in local and virtual meetings as needed. And tackle any other tasks assigned by the manager.

Qualifications
Education
Associate’s degree – preferred requirement, with focus on Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business Administration or related field.
Experience
An ideal candidate will have 3+ years’ experience in manufacturing industry in a Supply Chain Management related role (Production Planning, Procurement, Inventory Management).
At least 2 years’ experience using ERP software is a must, SAP preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
+ Detail-oriented and possess the ability to follow through on issues.
+ Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
+ Capable of working independently.
+ Willingness to participate in continued education opportunities to enhance skills and proficiency.
+ Proficient in MS Office Suite (especially Excel) and Outlook.

Work Environment
Physical Demands – While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or touch objects, tools or controls. Salary range: $70,200 to $80,000. Several factors contribute to actual salary, including experience in a similar role or performing comparable job responsibilities, skills, training, and other qualifications. Some roles may be eligible for participation in performance-based bonus programs.
Pay Range:
$70,200.00 - $105,400.00
Actual base salary offered varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
The selection of the person to be hired for this position is contingent on the candidate having export compliance eligibility for access to U.S. controlled technology which comes under the licensing jurisdiction of the U.S. Department of State, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the U.S. Department of Commerce, Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
The candidate selected will have to qualify as either a U.S. citizen, a U.S. National, a lawful permanent resident of the U.S., a Person Admitted into the U.S. as an Asylee or Refugee., a National of a country that is not prohibited from having access to U.S. controlled technology (via a letter of assurance), or a Person to be approved for an export license by the governing agency whose technology comes under its jurisdiction.
