**Work with a purpose!** Management & Training Corporation (MTC) proudly operates the Imperial Regional Detention Facility in Calexico, CA. We provide a safe and secure working environment for our staff while helping detainees gain valuable skills necessary for success upon release.

**Job responsibilities:** You’ll perform duties involving general maintenance and repairs on equipment and buildings, assisting with technical trades such as plumbing, electrical, painting and carpentry in compliance with Management & Training Corporation (MTC) and customer directives.

Essential functions:

1. Perform maintenance and repair of structures, electrical systems, heating, plumbing, ventilating, air conditioning and drainage systems. Recommend contracted assistance when on-site repair is not possible.

2. Repair or replace faulty or damaged light fixtures, outlets and fuses as directed.

3. Perform minor construction and repair of structural woodwork.

4. Perform repair or replacement of plumbing fixtures, washers, seals, etc.

5. Perform routine schedules checks of air conditioning systems.

6. Requires long periods of walking and standing; climbing stairs and ladders as required for facility maintenance; and pushing and pulling of maintenance tool cart is required.

Education and experience requirements:

+ High school diploma or equivalent

+ General knowledge of repair and maintenance and three (3) years of maintenance or related experience required.

+ US Citizenship required.

+ Must be 21 years of age.

+ Valid driver’s license in the state of California with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.
