In this position...
Subject matter expert of Core Engineering for turbochargers will assist the technical expert and core engineering manager in all aspects of managing the core sourcing strategy, sourcing programs, market test preparation, and supplier selection. SME will support institutionalizing all design rules and requirements for efficient and high-quality turbochargers designs. Will assist in program signoff and compliance to all design requirements. Will support quality and cost improvement efforts.
What you'll do...
Use function and failure mode prevention engineering approach to ensure robust DV and sign-off for all turbocharger and exhaust manifolds for all global engine powerpacks. Core documents management includes Boundary Diagram, P-Diagram, DFMEA, SCCAF, RCL, and Engineer Specification. Will assist the Technical Specialist in authoring and maintaining appropriate Design Rules, Requirements, and Test Methods in FEDE. Will support Powerpack engineers in the sourcing process in creating eSOW/SOR, managing sourcing options via CBP, and providing feedback to sourcing based on ongoing relationships with supply base. Additional responsibilities include interfacing with quality and suppliers to assist powerpack engineers with field issues and support problem solving activities for DV and field failures.
Responsible for early design and matching of Turbo/manifold prior to uPS to support proper performance and packaging prior to D&R involvement. Mentor powerpack engineers in design rules, requirements, and ETAG evaluations, reinforcing robust sign off processes. Support supplier site visits for PPAP and Quality reviews in support of program requirements.
You'll have...
+ Bachelor's of science degree, or related degree.
+ 10 years of experience with turbochargers in either a manufacturing, quality or design and release role.

This position is a range of salary grades 6-8.
