    Position Summary

    We are seeking a **Radiologic Technologist** in their final semester of a certified Radiologic Technologist program to join our team. This role is critical in providing accurate diagnostic imaging while ensuring patient safety and comfort. The ideal candidate will demonstrate technical expertise, strong communication skills, and a commitment to quality care.

    Essential Functions

    Ensure proper patient identification, verify orders, and prepare patients for exams.

     

    Perform exams per department protocol; review images for quality, clarity, and accuracy.

     

    Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and maintain a safe working environment.

     

    Complete studies within acceptable time limits without compromising patient care or quality.

     

    Provide appropriate patient education, ensure comfort, and address concerns.

     

    Practice infection control and sterile techniques.

     

    Operate imaging equipment and related information systems to ensure quality images.

     

    Keep accurate records of patient information, procedures, and any adverse reactions.

     

    Follow protocols for medical necessity, coding, charging, consents, QC programs, and reporting equipment failures.

    Required Skills

    Strong knowledge of anatomy and image evaluation.

     

    Proficiency in equipment operation and electronic imaging systems.

     

    Understanding of contrast protocols and emergency response procedures.

     

    Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

     

    Effective communication and patient interaction skills.

     

    Competence in task prioritization and maintaining a clean, safe environment.

    Qualifications

    Currently enrolled in a JRCERT or AMA approved school of radiologic technology with documented completion of clinical and didactic training as required by state regulations.

     

    Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers.
