Overview
LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST (TRADOC):
Bowhead seeks a Logistics Management Specialist to support operations to the US Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) Surgeon’s Office located in Fort Eustis, VA. The Logistics Management Specialist will provide oversight, analysis, planning, and coordination of medical logistics tasks at an Operational and Strategic level.
Responsibilities
+ Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of regulations, standards, practices, techniques, and procedures applicable to medical supply, maintenance, and transportation systems/operations, sufficient to plan, coordinate, and oversee implementation of medical logistics operations.
+ Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of medical logistical units and organizations, their capabilities and supportable missions, in order to provide input as necessary on Operational Needs Statements (ONS) for medical, dental, or veterinary equipment for training purposes
+ Demonstrate knowledge of and ability to conduct studies to assess and analyze the nature of status of issues or problems within the area of medical supply and services, medical maintenance, and transportation.
+ Demonstrate thorough understanding of medical and logistical automation systems in order to review data and to produce or obtain reports. Knowledge of principles, theories, and concepts of medical logistical contingency planning, and ability to apply such knowledge in the research, development and exercising of logistical contingency plans.
+ Demonstrate knowledge of Army Funding, budget and resource management regulations, principles, practice and procedures sufficient to advise plans for contingency and operational budgets. Skills in both oral and written
Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in related field. Master's degree is preferred.
+ Three (3+) years’ experience as part of G-4 in an active component division staff or equivalent Service organization.
+ Experience working at a Medical Readiness Command, Medical Center, and/or TRADOC Medical Center of Excellence.
+ Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts.
+ Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team.
Physical Demands
+ Must be able to lift 25 pounds on occasion.
+ Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged period amounts of time.
+ Must be able to twist, bend, and squat periodically.
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to maintain a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for this contract.
