    Job Summary:

    We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Trauma Advanced practice Provider to join the Extant Healthcare team at Chippenham Hospital in Richmond, Virginia.

    Qualified Candidates:

    + Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with outside of training

    + Strong clinical and procedural skills in trauma care

    + Must have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely with patients, nursing, physicians and administration

    + Board certification and current Virginia license or eligibility to obtain

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Assist in the management of patients with acute traumatic injuries in both emergency and inpatient settings

    + Provide interoperative support during trauma surgeries, including preoperative preparation, assisting during surgery, and postoperative care

    + Participate in trauma resuscitation and emergency interventions as needed

    + Maintain accurate and timely medical records

    + Participate in training and education of medical students, residents, and other healthcare staff

    + 466-bed Level l Trauma Center and Level l Burn Center

    + ACGME approved General Surgery Residency

    + 65-bed Emergency Department

    + 12-bed dedicated Pediatric Emergency Department

    + 15 operating rooms

    + Tucker Pavilion – 137 beds dedicated to inpatient acute behavioral health care

    + Levinson Heart Institute – Cardiac surgery program, 3 interventional cardiac catheterization labs, 3 electrophysiology labs, ECMO programs, interventional radiology suite for Convergent Maze and IR procedures for AFIB
