    Shift: M-F 6:00AM-4:30PM

     

    Pay: $23-26

     

    FUSING STRENGTH AND PRECISION TO KEEP THE AIRPORT STRONG – WELDER/FABRICATOR WANTED!

     

    The Welder/Fabricator performs welding and fabrication on airport ground support equipment, ensuring safety and functionality through skilled use of tools and interpretation of technical drawings.

    WHAT IT’S LIKE TO WORK AS A WELDER/FABRICATOR

    + Perform welding and fabrication tasks using MIG, TIG, and other techniques to repair and build airport equipment and structures

    + Read and interpret technical blueprints and drawings to accurately fabricate components and assemblies

    + Maintain and repair a variety of airport ground support equipment, ensuring safety and functionality

    + Measure, cut, and prepare materials with precision using tools such as plasma cutters and grinders

    + Adhere strictly to safety protocols and quality standards in all welding and fabrication work

    + Conduct inspections and tests on welds to ensure durability and compliance with specifications

    + Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to complete complex fabrication and repair projects

    + Exemplify PrimeFlight customer service and safety standards

    + Perform any additional duties as assigned by management

    QUALIFICATIONS

    + 18 years of age or older

    + Eligible to work in the United States

    + Communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, speaking)

    + Welding certification (e.g., AWS, ASME)

    + Minimum of 2 years of welding and fabrication experience

    + Proficiency in reading technical drawings and blueprints

    + Knowledge of various welding techniques and equipment

    + Attention to detail and commitment to safety

    + Ability to access and interpret information in print and electronically, including the use of electronic devices including IPads/Tablets, Computers, and Mobile Devices

    + Effectively communicate with colleagues and clients, both in-person and through electronic means

    + Pass a background check and drug screen

    + Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable)

    + Airlines are 24/7, so we need our team members to be flexible to work various shifts including nights, weekends and holidays

    PHYSICAL ACTIVITY/WORKING CONDITIONS MAY INCLUDE:

    + May need to crawl and crouch, at times, in confined tight spaces

    + Specific vision abilities required for this job include: Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less); distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more); peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point); depth perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships); ability to adjust focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus)
