    Job Summary and Qualifications

     

    The GME Administrative Assistant assists the GME director with the day-to-day administrative activities to help facilitate the efficient operation of the office. The Administrative Assistant possesses excellent knowledge and experience regarding a wide range of clerical services and office procedures. The Administrative Assistant is resourceful and is able to function effectively in a matrixed environment. Under supervision, the Administrative Assistant helps with the coordination of ad hoc and special projects.

     

    This position requires competence in assessment, treatment, and/or care for the age groups indicated. The staff member must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care, based on physical, psycho/social, educational, safety, and related criteria, appropriate to the age of the patients served in his/her assigned service area. The skills and knowledge needed to provide such care may be gained through education, training, or experience. D Infant: Birth - 1 year 0 Pediatric/Child: 1 year - 12 years D Adolescent: 13 years - 18 years D Adult: 19 years - 65 years D Geriatric: Over 65 years N/ A: this position does not provide direct patient care

    Requirements

    1. Working knowledge of software applications including: Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

    2. Working Knowledge of office procedures, including maintaining and retrieving data, filing/archiving.

    3. Clerical skills such as taking meeting minutes, scheduling meetings, maintaining multiple calendars, scanning, and copying contracts, notes, and other documents, and ordering supplies

    4. Ability to take initiative, successfully handle and prioritize multiple competing assignments and effectively manage deadlines,
