The B2B Data team has an opening for a Team Lead (L4) role, a high-impact role at the center of how American Airlines measures and drives performance across the indirect channel. This Team Lead is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end lifecycle of data assets, ensuring they are accurate, reliable, and aligned with business needs. This role guides a team of analysts or data product owners, setting priorities, assigning work, and providing coaching to drive high-quality deliverables. The Team Lead partners with business stakeholders to understand requirements, translate them into technical specs, and ensure data products meet usability, quality, and governance standards. They collaborate closely with IT to support system enhancements, troubleshoot data issues, and manage data pipelines. Additional responsibilities include developing and enforcing data governance practices, improving data processes through automation and standardization, monitoring data quality metrics, and ensuring a timely delivery of recurring and ad-hoc data outputs. Overall, they serve as the bridge between business and technical teams, ensuring data drives meaningful insights and operational excellence.

+ Lead a team to develop their ability to think creatively and create analytical solutions.
+ Create proof-of-concept solutions and articulate them to the IT organization for move to production. Also, be the point of contact to guide IT on the implementation of data enhancements
+ Contribute to decision-making and determining the fastest and most efficient solutions that are feasible to go to market, including the tools and resources AA will be investing in.
+ Responsible for validation, data cleansing, and maintenance, and reinforcing data integrity to business rules and standards
+ Keep abreast of industry solutions and ensure that AA leads the analytical space to increase our competitiveness.
+ Manages projects to enhance and develop data, models, and analytic processes that support Sales and Revenue systems
+ Identifies and implements best practices related to business processes, data governance, and automated solutions
All you'll need for success
+ **Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience**
+ Bachelor's degree with significant coursework in a quantitative discipline (Economics, Aviation Management, Data Science, Supply Chain, Engineering, Mathematics, Finance, or any related field) or equivalent experience/training
+ Prior work experience querying, managing, and organizing large data sets and applying quantitative reasoning to complex problems
+ Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills and ability to communicate proficiently with all levels of management
+ Superior organization skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
+ Self-starter with a high-performance orientation, bias to action, and a deep sense of care for customer needs
+ **Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience**
+ MS, MBA, or PhD in Operations Research, Statistics, Economics, Industrial Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or related field
+ Applicants should have refined skills with analytics software (Power BI, Tableau) and/or programming languages (SQL, Python)
+ Experience solving large-scale problems and familiarity with the airline industry are a plus
+ **Skills, Licenses & Certifications**
+ Microsoft Certification or Microsoft Programming Certificate
+ Technical skills including Azure, R, Microsoft SQL, Python, Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, Anaplan and the ability to communicate directly with users
