    Job Summary and Responsibilities

     

    Qualified external applicants with at least six months of direct Interventional Radiology Tech experience are eligible for a $7,500 sign-on bonus!*

     

    $4.75/hr specialty differential applies.

    The Interventional Radiology Tech provides quality patient care to all patients within the medical imaging department and perform high quality images and exams on patients while maintaining the sensitivity to patient needs. This role follows standards of safe radiation practice and demonstrates leadership abilities and is a role model for other associate technologists, while also acting as a clinical resource to the unit personnel and assures current standards of practice for the unit.

    Interventional Rad Tech provides quality patient care to all patients within the medical imaging department, and perform high quality images and exams on patients while maintaining the sensitivity to patient needs. The Interventional Rad Tech Non Registered follows standards of safe radiation practice, and demonstrates leadership abilities and is a role model for other associate technologists. This role acts as a clinical resource to unit personnel and assures current standards of practice for the unit.

    Job Requirements

    In addition to bringing humankindness to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:

    + One year imaging experience strongly preferred

    + HS/GED required

    + Associates degree strongly preferred

    + Colorado Surgical Assistant License upon hire unless performing Surgical Assistant duties within the scope of another active Colorado license, certification, or registration (required for Colorado employed staff only)

    + Basic Life Support through American Heart Association required

    + ACLS through American Heart Association preferred

    + Registered Technologist, Radiology, Vascular-Interventional Radiology, or Cardiovascular-Interventional Radiology - R.T. (R)(VI)(ARRT)

    For Registered Interventional Radiology Tech role, one of the following licenses is required:

    + Registered Technologist, Radiology, Vascular-Interventional Radiology, or Cardiovascular-Interventional Radiology - R.T. (R)(VI)(ARRT) or R.T. (R)(CV)(ARRT) required

     

    Physical Requirements Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)

     

    Schedule: full-time, 72 hours per two-week pay period. On call required. 30 minute callback radius applies.

    Penrose - St. Francis Health Services is a full-service, 712-bed acute care provider in Colorado Springs comprised of Penrose Hospital, St. Francis Hospital and St. Francis Hospital - Interquest. Penrose Hospital serves as the anchor hospital of Penrose-St. Francis Health Services with 300-licensed beds and the ability to provide tertiary (high tech) medical-surgical services with an emphasis on elective and outpatient care. Established in 1890, Penrose Hospital has grown to become a major health treatment and referral center, specializing in cancer care, cardiac care, emergency trauma care and physical rehabilitation.

    Pay Range

    $28.21 - $52.06 / hour
