    The Facility Maintenance Technician I for the Walden Behavioral Care system is responsible for performing basic and routine facilities maintenance, construction, and repair tasks according to service, quality, and safety standards. The Facility Maintenance Technician I will assist with miscellaneous facility projects including painting, drywall, carpentry, installation of fixtures, and moving furniture or materials within the facility, and assist trades contractors to complete projects or complex repairs as needed. This role follows standard operating procedures for all installations, inspections, and repairs, and performs preventative maintenance to mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste management systems.

     

    This is a Full time position: Monday-Friday night shift - 11pm-7:30am.

     

    **Pay:** $20-$23/hour depending on experience

    Responsibilities Include:

    + Execute on the full scope of facility maintenance for all property types within the assigned territory, including self-performance of facility maintenance tasks and execution of preventive maintenance programs and initiatives.

    + Assist in the completion of routine inspections and audits to track the physical condition of the locations.

    + Monitor and ensure a safe and comfortable environment for clients and team, including scheduled and random checks of designated areas throughout the facility to check for any security breaches.

    + Build strong, trust-based relationships with location management to collaboratively address maintenance needs, security issues, and emergency preparedness.

    + Establish and maintain strong relationships with all Landlords, Property Managers, etc. to ensure a direct link is formed for all location needs and any issues are addressed timely.

    + Assist in contract negotiations with third-party vendors for supplies and services not covered by national contracts within the Facility Maintenance Department.

    + Ensure all records of preventative maintenance, facility maintenance work, vendor contracts, and invoicing are maintained in a timely and accurate manner.

    + Work collaboratively with Operations to execute facility maintenance needs and services, and serve as a reliable resource for all facility needs of the locations.

    + Assist in the maintenance of the location’s vehicle fleet to ensure safety, reliability, and compliance.

    + Maintain awareness of all vehicles associated with their locations, and ensure accurate tracking is in place for use of the vehicles via logs that are routinely audited for accuracy and completion.

    + Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders as required to ensure alignment with local operations.

    + Assist in survey preparations as needed.

    + Perform all other tasks as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    + High school diploma or equivalent

    + A minimum of 1 year of experience in facilities management and/or related experience in the construction/ project supervision environment.

    + Experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.

    + Familiarity with health care standards of housekeeping and those serviced in a hospital setting (preferred).

    + Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to facility maintenance and construction (preferred).

    + Understanding of the construction process (preferred).

    + Strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to communicate ideas clearly.

    + Problem-solving skills.

    Travel Requirements:

    + This role will require travel > 50% at times, but the length of travel is limited given the size of the territory.
