As an unarmed patrol officer at a leading retail location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence. You will interact with guests and staff, providing outstanding customer service while responding to incidents as needed. What You'll Do:

+ Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as required.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the retail location.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the store and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.

+ Observe and report any suspicious behavior or incidents in accordance with Allied Universal guidelines and site-specific instructions.

+ Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials as needed, and providing guidance to visitors and staff.

+ Support loss prevention efforts by remaining visible and approachable to customers and staff, and by reporting any incidents of theft or property damage.

+ Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and any actions taken during patrols.

+ Collaborate with store management, staff, and local authorities as needed to address security-related concerns and support a positive environment for customers and employees.

Minimum Requirements:

+ Access control or badge experience is preferred.

+ Customer service experience is preferred.

+ Loss prevention experience is preferred.

+ A guard card or license is preferred.

+ A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
