As a **Security Officer - Armed Driver - Retail** in **Harlingen, TX** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer in a dynamic retail environment, where you will conduct routine patrols, help to deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service. This role requires both armed and driving responsibilities as you remain visible throughout the location, respond to incidents, and communicate with the public. What You'll Do:

+ Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies and responding to emergency situations as needed.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols around the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.

+ Monitor for suspicious behavior and report any unusual circumstances to the appropriate Allied Universal personnel and/or client contacts.

+ Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential issues and provide reassurance to employees and patrons at the retail location.

+ Follow all instructions related to the handling and use of assigned firearms in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.

+ Complete required documentation and incident reports in a timely and accurate manner.

+ Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency responders when situations require their involvement.

Minimum Requirements:

+ A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

+ At least one year of security-related experience is required.

+ An armed guard card or license is required.

+ Level III armed certification is required for positions in Texas only.

+ Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.

+ Applicants must be able to ride a bike.

+ Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
