Job Title: Construction Project Supervisor/Inspector

Job Description

We are seeking a self-motivated and energetic Construction Project Supervisor/Inspector to join our team in Southeast Indiana. This individual will provide valuable construction inspection experience for LPA and INDOT projects. We offer exciting and challenging projects along with a family-oriented, small company culture. Responsibilities

+ Record field observations and determine acceptability of construction work performed.

+ Monitor contractor’s quality control and verify construction conforms to the quality control plan.

+ Make field measurements, computations, and records of acceptable work.

+ Prepare reports outlining the work performed and the quality of completed work for payment.

+ Calculate the quantity of acceptable completed work for payment.

+ Prepare final records report for INDOT.

+ Review and verify contractor’s payment applications, proposals, and change order requests.

+ Coordinate construction activities with the owner and assist the Design Project Manager with construction-related issues.

+ Prepare and maintain project records in accordance with company, client, and government standards.

+ Coordinate or conduct quality assurance testing, inspections, and surveys.

+ Observe and monitor construction for compliance with contract documents and approved shop drawings/material submittals.

Essential Skills

+ Experience as a Project Supervisor on INDOT projects, with the ability to lead, run, and close out an INDOT construction project from start to finish.

+ INDOT Certification or a Civil Engineering Degree and Site Manager certification.

+ Proficiency in INDOT testing, up to date.

+ Experience as a Project Supervisor on bridge projects (INDOT).

+ Ability to complete final records for INDOT projects, including field notes, as-built, civil engineering construction, and roadway construction.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience using Ashtoware (INDOT's new project documentation software) is desirable.

+ LPA experience is a plus.

+ Side by Sides need to be up to date (materials testing methods).

+ Able and willing to work in inclement weather.

Work Environment

The construction project supervisor will work outside in various weather conditions, either from their truck or a field office trailer. This is a hands-off inspection position, focusing on visual inspection.

This is a Permanent position based out of Indianapolis, IN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $72800.00 - $89440.00/yr.
