Actalent is hiring for a Manufacturing Engineer in the Plymouth, MN area!!
Job Description
Seeking a dedicated Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Plymouth, MN. This is a full-time, on-site position that focuses on providing support for medical device catheter production during the 2nd shift. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree in engineering and possess strong communication skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities
+ Provide direct production support on the manufacturing floor, working closely with operators.
+ Investigate yield issues and manage catheter scrap.
+ Collaborate with other functional teams to strengthen operations.
+ Respond to escalations from Operations, addressing scrap quality issues, process questions, and equipment errors.
+ Build relationships and coach operators.
+ Perform scrap dissection and implement yield improvement initiatives.
+ Conduct basic equipment troubleshooting.
+ Participate in ergonomic safety projects.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor's degree in engineering.

+ Patience with varying personalities and cultures.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ 0-3 years of relevant experience, including direct production support and hands-on experience.
+ Prior experience in the medical device industry is preferred.
+ Internship experience is a plus.
+ Experience in teaching or tutoring, such as TA work or babysitting, is beneficial for demonstrating coaching abilities.
Work Environment
This position is a 2nd shift role from 4 PM to 2 AM, Monday through Thursday, with some flexibility in coverage. The role requires spending 80% of the time in a clean room environment, providing direct support on the production floor.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Plymouth, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
