    Job Title: Lab Technician - 3rd ShiftJob Description

     

    Join our team as a Lab Technician, where you will be an integral part of the magnet wire testing laboratory. You will perform quality tests on magnet wire, assist in preparing enamels and lubricants, and ensure raw materials meet specifications. This role involves using chemical testing equipment and measuring instruments while adhering to quality management systems.

    Responsibilities

    + Complete quality tests of magnet wire for various specifications and improvement proposals.

    + Conduct testing on quality assurance and experimental runs, action requests, and sample orders.

    + Assist in preparing magnet wire enamels, thinners, and lubricants.

    + Perform inspection and analysis of raw materials and chemical products.

    + Execute tests with attention to detail and follow detailed instructions.

    + Use chemical testing equipment and measuring instruments.

    + Collaborate with technicians, engineers, and management to solve and correct problems.

    + Utilize computer programs and quality systems effectively.

    + Maintain records and prepare reports or charts to report test results.

    + Communicate effectively with supervisors and co-workers.

    Essential Skills

    + High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree in a scientific field preferred.

    + 1+ years of GMP experience.

    + 1+ years of experience in quality control lab roles.

    + Proficiency in basic laboratory techniques.

    + Ability to work a 3rd shift, 12-hour schedule.

    + Strong written and verbal communication skills.

    + Working knowledge of Quality Systems (ISO/QS/TS).

    + High attention to detail and organizational skills.

    + Above average mechanical skills.

    + Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

    Work Environment

    This role operates on a 3rd shift schedule from 8pm to 8am, with a 2-2-3 schedule and every other weekend off. Initial training will occur on the 1st shift from Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm, for the first four weeks. The position is based in a brand-new, climate-controlled quality laboratory. The facility supports various industries, including automotive, energy, and industrial sectors.     This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Franklin, IN.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $20.40 - $21.65/hr.
