Senior Principal Engineer - Ports & Maritime

The successful candidate shall possess knowledge and experience in:
* Project management and resource planning
* Supervising and guiding team of engineers for analysis and design of concrete/steel structures.
* Interacting with CAD draftsmen for preparation and checking/review of drawings.
Key capabilities and qualities should include:
* Leads functional teams
* Resource planning skills
* Good knowledge of planning and design of various marine structures
* Knowledge of design software such as STAAD, Tedds, ASBD, Geo 5 etc
* Good at checking/reviewing design and drawings
* Should be willing to work outside normal work hours if required by project schedule
* Should be a team leader
* Communication of with other disciplines within Jacobs
* A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering is essential.
* Master’s degree with specialization in Structural Engineering or Offshore Engineering or Marine Structures will be preferred.
* Substantial years of experience after graduation/post-graduation in a design engineer role, with minimum experience of 10 years in analysis & design of various marine concrete/steel structures. Experience in design of marine structures is must.
* Knowledge of calculating all the various loads acting on marine structures is must.
* Should have awareness of individual capability limitations and technical competence.
* Good communication skills are must.
