Tax Preparer – Seasonal (1040 Only)

Schedule: Monday–Friday 9:00 AM–6:00 PM | Saturday 9:00 AM–2:00 PM

Pay: $24hr+ DOE

Start Date: Projected January 12th

We are seeking an experienced Tax Preparer to join our team for the upcoming tax season. This role will focus exclusively on preparing individual 1040 tax returns and assisting clients through both in-person appointments and drop-off services. The ideal candidate is customer-service oriented, detail-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced tax office environment.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Prepare accurate and timely 1040 individual tax returns

+ Meet with clients in person to gather tax documentation, answer questions, and review completed returns

+ Process and organize drop-off tax files efficiently

+ Ensure compliance with federal and state tax regulations

+ Maintain confidentiality of all client information

+ Provide excellent customer service and clear communication throughout the tax preparation process

+ Utilize tax preparation software (Drake preferred)

Requirements

Qualifications:

+ Minimum 3 years of professional tax preparation experience

+ Strong knowledge of 1040 tax return preparation

+ Experience with Drake software highly preferred

+ Excellent customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills

+ Ability to work on-site and maintain professionalism with clients

+ High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities
